Michael J. Fox, Ziggy Marley call for food labeling
The latest video compilation featuring stars (those are always kind of fun, don’t you think?) comes from Just Label It, a coalition of 600 organizations dedicated to the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered (GE) foods.
Michael J. Fox, Julie Bowen and singer Ziggy Marley are featured, along with a couple dozen entertainers and advocates who are promoting the cause. Just Label It is petitioning the FDA to update its 20-year-old voluntary guidelines and require labeling for GE foods.
Q & A: Genetically engineered foods
Bowen, a mother of three sons, shows her support for labeling by winking and holding up a sign with the message: “Every modern family has the right to know what’s in their food!”
Marley appears in the video and his song Personal Revolution provides the soundtrack for the three-minute production.
There’s also a family trying to eat dinner blindfolded. Not a good idea. Especially by candlelight.
